1. Criminal Charges: Driving Under the Influence, 2nd Offense; Breathalyzer Refusal
Coventry Police observe Client’s vehicle enter the drive-thru at Taco Bell at 2:30am, a time when the restaurant was closed. Police stop Client’s vehicle and immediately smell an “overwhelming” odor of alcohol, extremely bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Client takes and fails 3 field-sobriety tests, and refuses the Breathalyzer at the station. Client had a previous DUI conviction in 2013 AND 2007, as well as a DUI from Connecticut for which he was still on Connecticut probation.
